Content:

  • The collection consists primarily of oil paintings, drawings, and prints, supplemented by documentary materials.
  • Míla Doleželová’s work is characterized by a highly expressive figurative style and focuses primarily on people and their inner experiences—particularly the lives of those on the margins of society. A key source of inspiration for her was Romani culture and the environment of Romani communities, with which she had long-standing ties and whose daily life, emotions, and interpersonal relationships she repeatedly captured. Spiritual and Christian motifs, as well as the general search for the meaning of human existence, also play a significant role in her work.
