Exhibition about Augustinians in Brno in the late 19th century.

Gregor Johann Mendel - the father of genetics - was a member of the Augustinian Order for more than 40 years. From early age he got into an intelectual environment that shaped and influenced him. There were philosophers, journalists, university teachers and composers among local monastic community. Come and learn more about Mendel´s monastic brothers C. F. Napp, F. M. Klácel and P. Křížkovský. You will also feel the atmosphere in which this eminent scientist daily lived.
