We recommend following the festival website and Facebook for up-to-date information.

Annotation of Saturday's program:

Mendel Museum:

  • Build a cell | The cell is the basic building block of organisms. But what is the cell itself made of? Do the cells of animals and plants look the same? Come and make a cell with us - it will be on the stand in a sufficiently enlarged size!
  • Mendel Art Workshop | Create an original canvas bag with a thematic motif!
  • Pigeon crossbreeding | How diverse can one pair of parents produce? What about heredity - genes and alleles? Come find out more and crossbreed pigeons with us! At least "like".

Bioscope:

  • PI (Palaeo-Intelligence) | Intelligence was on our planet long before man, though not the artificial kind, but the natural kind. How big a brain did Tyrannosaurus have? Which dinosaur was the smartest? And what about other prehistoric creatures?

RECETOX:

  • Explore life-giving water | Water is the reason for life as we know it on planet Earth. How does humanity manage this irreplaceable natural resource? How do we treat water for our needs? How is its quality affected by our actions? What do humans introduce into water and what do these substances do to ecosystems? Come and learn more about water!

CEITEC:

  • What is the DNA that makes us look like our parents? You won't be able to see DNA directly at the booth (it's too tiny), but we'll explain what it looks like. You will even be able to create a simplified model of it yourself and take it home as a souvenir!
