The fourth Mendel Days took place

Subtitled The Four Elements: Prayer for Water, the event took place on Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 November, traditionally in the Mendel Refectory. The theme of water and the personality of G. J. Mendel were presented during the first day. The lectures were in Czech language only. Speakers included Šárka Pospíšilová, Tomáš Kuchovský, Vít Gloser, Jaromír Leichmann, Marek Vácha.

The first day ended with a concert of Brno cellists directly in the refectory

On the second day, workshops for students took place in the morning, followed by guided tours of the museum and a lecture by Dana Drábová Water and Energy in the afternoon. The fourth edition of Mendel Days ended with a concert in memory of G. J. Mendel in the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.
