Paleontological sub-collection

The paleontological sub-collection was founded together with the Geological Institute in 1921 and comprises more than 5000 collection items.

• fossil animals and plants from the most primitive to vertebrates and phytoplankton
  original collections from the world-famous sites of Solenhofen and Holzmaden
